<li>3 medium onions, quartered</li>
<li>1 cup thinly sliced carrots</li>
<li>3-4 lbs corned beef brisket</li>
<li>1 cup beer</li>
</ul>
<p>Place vegetables in bottom of slow electric crockery cooker. Trim fat from corned beef; place meat atop vegetables. Pour beer over all. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 to 6 hours, or till done. Serve meat with vegetables. Reserve broth for a vegetable soup.</p>
<p>Serves 6</p>
